The quartet, with Adam Shulman on piano, Eric Markowitz on bass, and James Gallagher on drums, is one of SF's longest running jazz groups, with over a decade of keeping the late night jazz spirit alive in weekly engagements at Club Deluxe and the Redwood Room. They have hosted guests like Grant Stewart, Jon Gordon, and Harry Allen, linking the local scene with the greatest musicians of the NY world.
Jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein has been a part of the jazz scene in New York and abroad since 1989. Bernstein was first discovered by alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson and then became a member of the legendary drummer Jimmy Cobb’s group Cobb’s Mob, and then the highly acclaimed Larry Goldings/Peter Bernstein/Bill Stewart trio. Peter was also a member of Joshua Redman’s band for a few years, Diana Krall’s quartet and the legendary organist Dr. Lonnie Smith’s trio. Peter has also appeared in groups led by Sonny Rollins, Bobby Hutcherson, George Coleman, Fathead Newman, Brad Mehldau, Lee Konitz and many more.
